Overgod
Lord Ao, also known as the Hidden One or the One Who Is Hidden, is the Overgod of the worlds of Abeir and Toril. An Overgod, also called an over-power, is a type of deity that exists beyond the normal ranking of the gods and of concepts such as alignment. All deities and primordials of Abeir and Toril, even those who also operate in other spheres and planes, such as Lolth, are subject to him. He alone can allow new deities to join the pantheons, and what their level of power may be. He does not, however, acknowledge mortal worshippers or grant spells, interacting with mortals only during the most unusual of circumstances. In fact, if it were not for Ao’s involvement in the Era of Upheaval (specifically the Time of Troubles in 1358 DR and the Second Sundering in the 1480s DR), he would likely have remained unknown to the mortals of Faerûn.

Nonhuman/Regional Deities
Each race has their own pantheon of gods. Some examples:
The Seldarine (Elvish for “fellowship of brothers and sisters of the wood”) is the elven pantheon of gods that resides in Arvandor under the leadership of Corellon Larethian.
The Morndinsamman (dwarven: “shield brothers on high” or “high dwarves”) was the collective name of the fourteen deities that formed the dwarven pantheon of Dwarfhome.
The Lords of the Golden Hills was the collective name given to the gnome pantheon. It consisted of the gnomish gods that resided on the plane of the Golden Hills, and Urdlen.
Yondalla’s Children was the collective name for the halfling pantheon, which was led by the greater deity Yondalla, and reside in the Green Fields.
There are a few powers that do not have a sphere of influence beyond a specific region:
Ubtao (pronounced: /uːbˈteɪoʊ/ oob-TAY-oh) is the patron deity of Chult. He is also known as The Father of the Dinosaurs, Creator of Chult, and the Founder of Mezro. After the founding of Mezro, he stayed distant from both mortals and other deities, seeming to be above the daily doings of the world and his followers. Only since the Time of Troubles has he begun to show interest in his followers again. Some speculate that the many jungle spirits worshiped in Chult are all aspects of Ubtao.
